Death will not betray you! (The Darkness-Ps3 version)
Although, I am not really a fan of first-person shooters, this game looked interesting enough for me to choose as my first game to be sent to me from my new Gamefly account that I set up.

Story: 10/10
The story is entertaining, and it keeps you locked in to it from start to finish. This was odd, because over the years with all the first-person shooters I have played not many of them had interesting storylines. You play as Jackie a mafia member who awakens demonic powers with a being called The Darkness on his twenty-first birthday. This basically makes him immortal, but uses Jackie as a puppet. Of course Jackie doesn't like being controlled, so this leads to problems...
Gameplay: 7/10
It plays like a normal FPS when you use guns. The guns really seem pointless, except for the pair of pistols. The Darkness powers are better than the guns, perhaps to make them look more fun. You can also later in the game summon Darklings to help you kill, open up paths, and turn out lights. Over the course of the game you gain more powers by eating the enemies hearts by ripping them through their body with the Darkness. I didn't play the game in multiplayer, but I heard it sucks, anyway.
Music: 6/10
In the heat of the battle the music rocks becoming more loud and faster, but otherwise it's forgettable. The voice acting is actually pretty good. The voices fit the characters well, especially The Darkness. The sound effects sound awesome when turned up loud.
Graphics: 10/10
The graphics are incredible. Everything is highly detailed, and the characters look amazing. Though, I have seen better facial expressions in last generation games like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
Overall: 8/10
Keep in mind, this game isn't for kids. The game contains a huge amount of gore and some pretty sick scenes. It's not that long, but it's an incredible experience that will take you to hell and back... twice! Don't hesitate to pick this one up. You will be missing on quite the adventure if you don't.
