Super Mario World
Story: Ah, Mario wants to have a vacation in Dinosaur Land. But, before he can relax and have the time of his
life, Bowser kidnaps Princess Toadstool and the baby Yoshis. So, Mario sets out on his adventure to save his love of
his life, and a few buddies. The story travels far and wide through Dinosaur Land, with many levels and numerous
secrets. Will Mario save his friends? Only you can find out.
Graphics: The graphics are good, with detail, and pretty backgrounds. For an early Super Nintendo game they are
phenomenal. The first time I turned it on, as a wee boy of two years, I was amazed at what the Snes could do.
Nintendo had created a true masterpiece, loved by many for the level art.
Sound: The sound is absolutely charming, and by the time you beat this game you will be humming along. None of the
songs are bad at all, and many fit the levels they represent. The quality is great, and has one of my favorite
soundtracks on the Super Nintendo.
Gameplay: Where it really counts in the long run, Super Mario World does not disappoint. There are many levels, with
96 exits in all. There are four colored Yoshis that each have their own unique abilities. With the normal Fire
Flower and Super Mushrooms, Super Mario World adds a new Powerup to the mix, a golden cape. With this cape Mario can
fly around with much joy. There are many secrets and levels to last you a really long time if you haven't played
this game before.
Replay Value: This game is fun enough to keep going back to again and again no matter how many times you have played
it before. With the excellent music to the excellent level design and gameplay, Super Mario World is pretty amazing.
Worth it? If you don't have any other versions of this game, and haven't bought it before I truly suggest you put
this game at the top of your list. It is a superb title, one of the best of the golden age, and very few disagree.
At only 800 Wii Points, this game is a must have. If you decide to pick it up because of me, I want at least a thank
you when you find how good it is.
